چکیده
Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) level tinggi dapat menyebabkan gangguan pada pernapasan yang mengancam nyawa pasien. One of the interventions that can be given to individuals with SCI in reducing complications respiratory problems is Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT). (RMT) a technique aims improve function muscles through specific exercises. This study determined effectiveness muscle training spinal cord injury patients problems. literature review used several databases such as Google Scholar, Pubmed, Ebsco, Sciencedirect, CINAHL, and SAGE inclusion criteria Articles published less than five years (2018-2022), English, Full text, Systematic review/meta-analysis/RCT. The results indicate this RMT intervention's on lung depends characteristics patients. There were six articles for paper. show impacts depending patient himself. Respiratory muscle training in athletes with spinal cord injury.
The effect of respiratory muscle endurance training (RMET) on RM function, dyspnoea and exercise performance was evaluated in SCI athletes. Nine endurance athletes (7 paraplegics T4-L1, 2 post-polio syndromes) were evaluated on three occasions (T1-T3), with a 1-month interval between evaluations. Participants performed between T1 and T2 their standard individual exercise training program (contr...

متن کاملOptimal intensity for respiratory muscle endurance training in patients with spinal cord injury.
OBJECTIVE Respiratory muscle endurance of able-bodied persons, assessed by normocapnic hyperpnoea at 70% of their maximal voluntary ventilation, usually ranges from 10 to 20 minutes. The aim of this study was to determine the level of ventilation that patients with paraplegia and tetraplegia can sustain for 10-20 minutes to later be used as the guideline for respiratory muscle endurance trainin...

Summary: Background: Patients with spinal cord injury (SCI) usually have permanent and often devastating neurologic deficits and disability and pain (1). According to the National Institutes of Health, "among neurological disorders, the cost to society of automotive SCI is exceeded only by the cost of mental retardation"(2). Neurogenic pain constitutes one of the enigmatic clinical sy...
